Cambodia Japan Cooperation Center, with support from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), organized a Virtual Business Learning Program called “Understanding Food-Value Chain from the Experience of Japanese Companies”.
CJBI supported the implementation of this program, especially the Business Networking Event. The purposes of this program are to provide a chance for Cambodian participants to learn from each Japanese company about the food value chain, to understand how to add value to their products as well as to strengthen business network with Japanese companies in Japan.
Six sessions were conducted based on different themes and experts. Moreover, in each session, all the participants had a chance to interact with those experts through the Questions and Answers session. At the same time, there was also a review session for participants to do a reflection on what they learned from the lecture for each session.
The first session was conducted on 16th February 2021 under the topic “Food Value Chain”. For other sessions, each topic was conducted on 19th and 26th February and 4th, 5th and 12th March 2021 based on different themes such as Food Manufacturing (Confectionery), Food Manufacturing (Tomato juice manufacture/branding), Online Business Networking, Food Logistics, and Value Chain of Food and Agricultural Products respectively. 19 participants, including 4 CJBI members joined this program.
