Japan’s Sumitomo opens third plant in Phnom Penh’s SEZ

Sumi (Cambodia) Wire Systems Co., Ltd, a Japanese-owned automobile wiring harness maker, has extended its business activities to satisfy rising demand in the Kingdom after a decade of existence. According to a statement on the SEZ’s Facebook page, its third rental factory located at the 357.3ha land in Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (SEZ) southwest of the capital's airport. They are delighted to witness the ongoing growth, development, and expansion of Sumi [Cambodia], a Japanese investor that manufactures wire harnesses for automobiles' ongoing growth, the statement stated. The statement added that Sumi Cambodia officially began operations at a new Built-to-Suit rental factory at the beginning of this month.
