According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), three new projects in the garment and yarn industries with a total capital of $15.7 million are set to start their operations in the Kingdom. Those newly approved factories are Jade Fashion (Cambodia) Garments Company Limited, Hong Yu Fang Garment Co., Ltd, and Shun Wei Fang Zhi Ke Ji Co., Ltd. It is mentioned that these projects would help around 2,279 jobs for the people in the country. The country's recovery from the negative impacts of the Covid-19 outbreak is clearly demonstrated by the steady increase in investment initiatives. Cambodia has 1,947 active factories as of July this year with a total investment of $15 billion and created a million jobs for local people, as stated in the report from the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
