The Council for Development of Cambodia (CDC), a highest decision-making body for large scale investments, has approved go-ahead to 17 investment projects totaling $141.72 million in Cambodia. Those projects will be on tourism, healthcare, solar panel manufacturing, and mining sectors which are expected to create around 11, 197 jobs in Cambodia. One of the projects, Hen Jiu Garment Accessory Co., Ltd, plans to establish a plant to manufacture fabric pieces and thread rolls in the Kambol district, Phnom Penh with an investment of $5.1 million, which was expected to help 463 jobs for local people. Moreover, the new investment projects will be implemented not only in Phnom Penh but also in three other provinces, according to CDC.
