Japan for better cooperation, help increase exports from Cambodia

In order to improve working conditions, workers' rights, and the freedom of professional organizations as well as to foster competition in the textile and apparel industries, Cambodia and Japan have demonstrated a commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Ministries of Commerce, ILO-Tokyo, and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). For instance, Mr. Yuki Kobayasho admired the Royal Government of Cambodia's commitment and efforts, notably the development of workplace health and safety. In addition, the kingdom will endeavor to understand how to include footwear, electronics, and other export-potential sectors in the "Better Factories Cambodia" (BFC) project as a framework for increasing domestic orders.
