The financing for the new project, which comes from the Counterpart Fund and amounts to about $41,568, has been approved by the government of Japan for the implementation of the "Food Security Project for Underprivileged Farmers". This project will involve the construction of agricultural warehouse in Kampong Chhnang and Tboung Khmum provinces, said the source, pointing out that the warehouses will enable the proper storage of rice seed, which will ensure that high quality, and domestically produced seed is available to Cambodian farmers. It is expected that this project will boost agricultural productivity and increase incomes for rice farmers, as stated by the embassy.
