Cambodia, UAE continue negotiations for comprehensive economic partnership agreement By a joint between Negotiation Team Leaders from United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Cambodia, the second round of negotiations for the Cambodia-United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was held to discuss remaining points from the first round and focus on key sectors and sub-sectors such as trade in goods, trade barriers, sanitation and phytosanitation, trade in services, trade facilitation, rules of origin, economic cooperation, business and investment opportunities, intellectual property, laws and institutions. The Cambodian and UAE team leaders are committed to accomplish Cambodian-UAE CEPA at the earliest convenience in order to enhance the bilateral trade ties through market diversification, as well as to create investment opportunities. Throughout Cambodian-UAE relations, UAE has become the trade partner of Cambodia which contributes 77 percent of the total trade volume of Cambodia within the Middle East region.
