Cambodia-Japan Digitalised Manufacturing Centre inaugurated

On 07 December 2022, Yuok Ngoy, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Mikami Masahiro, Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia attended the inauguration of the Digitalised Manufacturing Center (CJDM), aiming to promote University-Industry-Government collaboration triangle in order to foster economic and social development for supporting production chain. Throughout the strong Japanese-Cambodian relations, CJDM is strongly supported by industry, government and academia from both countries and is expected to become a Research and Development (R&D) hub servicing the whole ASEAN region with mutually beneficial relationships with Japanese companies. Most importantly, it will be supported by ODA from the Japanese government for procurement of advanced machine tools, and its goal is to develop high-level industrial human resources with a view to further industrial development in Cambodia.
