Due to the pandemic outbreak, the hospitality industry was hit, making some important tourism events were postponed. However, as a starting point, hospitality industry insiders in coastal Preah Sihanouk province are hailing on two major ongoing tourism events in Sihanoukville such as 9th Sea Festival and the World-Bays Club’s 2022 World Congress. Throughout the two events, it was expected to be attended by at least 130 international delegates from not less than 21 countries and territories. Hang Reth, manager of The Moonflower Bungalows and a 30-unit accommodation in Sihanoukville’s Otres area, expected to have more foreign holidaymakers and help promote potentiality of Preah Sihanouk’s tourism. During the meeting via video link, Thong Khon, tourist minister, highlighted the opportunity to internationally showcase and promote Cambodia's tourism products in the ongoing events.
