Agricultural is one of the four pillars to support Cambodia’s economy. However, Cambodia and China have a strong agricultural cooperation. Around 689,702 tons of Cambodian agricultural products had been placed on Chinese market during the period of 2022. Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dith Tina mentioned that Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement and the Cambodian-China Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA) have introduced a new force into the development of Cambodia’s agriculture as this two FTAs mutually open the market for all the participating countries, providing farmers choices to deliver their products to various countries, and contribute the farmer’s welfare and prosperity.
