Basic ‘Scenario Planning’– Drawing out the Invisible Future

On 3-4 February 2023, CJBI and CJCC have successfully organized the two-day training course under the topic ‘‘Basic Scenario Planning– Drawing out the Invisible Future’’, given by Mr. Asahina Hiroyuki, Representative and Certified Public Tax Accountant of F.I.L Inc., Japan, F.I.L Inc. This training course was specially conducted in order for the participants to acquire and deepen knowledge of Scenario Planning, a method to deal with uncertainty, so that the participants can have a deeper understanding of changes in the environment surrounding the organization and independently lead it to better decisions.

During the lecture, Mr. Asahina elaborated the definition and differences between Prediction, Desire and Scenario Planning, as well as the process of creating the scenario. This training has provided a meaningful reflection not only for business perspectives, but also life experiences, which the participants can use various lens to understand the changes in phenomenon around national and global levels for decision making in their own organization, and sometimes can also turn risk into opportunities in businesses. It was such an interesting training course as it was not only focusing on sharing by speaker, but also including various discussion sessions among participants, which made the class very energetic.

To sum up, 12 participants actively attended both days of the training course and the event ended with a fruitful outcome and positive feedback for the overall arrangement, as well as received high demand to conduct this kind of course in the future.
