On 17 March 2023, CJBI has successfully conducted CJBI Assembly Meeting Fiscal Year 2022 with the support of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC). The event was very interesting as there was a special panel discussion under the topic “Cambodia-Japan Business Trading Opportunity: A Practical Approach on Importing and Exporting Procedure” given by CJBI Members including Ms. Try Dany, Logistic Senior Manager and Mr. Phal Sothea, Import Manager of AEON (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, Mr. Phal Rattana, Commercial Manager of Misota Food Import Export Co., Ltd., Mr. Chum Saborith, Founder of B Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd, and Ms. Eng Samphors CEO of Aliments. During this session, the speakers have shared many fascinating ideas for companies to consider before exporting to Japan such as differentiate type of products that they want to export, study on the requirements from Japanese side, and have high responsibility in their product management, etc.

Moreover, Mr. Ieng Sotheara, president of CJBI, highlighted the important point of business partnership between Cambodian and Japanese companies during his impression remark. Japanese Market is one of the potential and stable international markets, so if Cambodian local producers wish to expand their market to Japan, they must focus on the quality of product that meet with the Japanese standard, he continued. In addition, dinner gathering session has also provided a chance to build network with one another. Overall, it was a great event with 58 participants actively attended.
