The governor of Kompot Province delivered his worries over the salt production that may face troubles this year. Almost the rest of salt production is climate-dependent. According to the information provided by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Cambodia would suffer by the storm this year and will bring negative or positive impact on salt output. The governor of Kompot Province raised concerns about the community’s salt production due to it depending on weather conditions which means that if the weather is suitable, the amount of salt will increase, but if the weather changes and there is no more rain, salt production will decline accordingly.
