The return of Chinese tourists has given a big boost to Cambodia as well as other Asian countries. China is the second world largest population in the world, making the country becomes the greatest potential for international travel. The majority of international visitors to Cambodia come from China, which supports the development of the travel industry and contributes to the nation’s sustainable economy. According to Chhay Sivlin, head of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, the presence of Chinese tourists provides “great hope” for the country’s tourism industry and economic growth in the post-pandemic era.
