The Japanese government has offered a grant of $145,692 to Cambodia for the establishment of Community Technology Centre. This project is purposed to train students and locals to learn more about information and communication technology, as well as to improve their digital skills. Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, hoped that this project will help the Cambodian government’s efforts to promote the digital skills of the people. This year also mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relation between Japan and Cambodia. Throughout the past 70 years with a strong assistance from Japan, Cambodia has made a remarkable improvement in its economy and infrastructures. Currently, Cambodia and Japan are attempted to increase economic digitization, build infrastructure, and speed up the internet to eventually reach the 5th Generation (5G).
