Prime Minister Hun Sen promoted for agriculture output based on "excellent agricultural practices" to protect consumer safety, increase production and exports. Cambodia has transformed from a food insecure nation to the one that is now self-sufficient. The Prime Minister complimented farmers’ efforts for producing enough food for home consumption and exports also a support by irrigation system infrastructure that enables farmers to conduct more than one harvest season of farming. Prime Minister Hun Sen also encourages farmers to think about user safety and guarantee the products with no chemical. According to the Agricultural Ministry, China and the European markets continue to be prospective markets for Cambodian agricultural products.
