As a result of 1.6% increase in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) registrations, more than 444,504 jobs were created for Cambodian. The Cambodian government notes micro and SMEs as the main drivers of the country’s economic growth. The government also made the decision to create the SME bank as a commercial bank and provide loans to SMEs’ owners in order to expand their businesses. SMEs registered will gain several benefits such as access to financial service, technology help, business consultancy, and other benefits. According to the President of the Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association Keo Mom previously stated that the small and medium enterprise private sector has a high expectation for the business recovery in domestic production and packaging as Cambodia anticipate a recovery in the tourism sector.
