According the Ministry of Commerce, Kunihiko Hirabayashi, secretary-general of the ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC), has shown interest in the farming of Cambodian crops, saying he senses enormous potential for mangos, cashews and pepper in particular due to their “excellent tastes and unique aromas”. In order to deepen ties between the country and Japan, as well as to advance regional peace between Japan and other ASEAN countries, AJC will continue to work with the Cambodian government to promote trade and investment.
