According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodian agricultural products, including milled rice, paddy rice, and non-rice agricultural products, were exported to 68 countries, accounting for more than 4.5 million tonnes with a total worth $2.6 billion, up 7.7 percent from last year. However, agricultural exports were down 19.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Due to increased milled rice prices on the international market, Cambodia intends to secure milled rice stock, increase processing and export directly to the international market in order to improve the economic situation.
