Rubber article exports go up by 43%

Cambodia earned $385 million from exporting rubber in the first seven months of 2023, up to 43% over the same period in 2022, according to recorded data from the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE). Cambodian rubber mainly exports to China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, India, and the EU. The sharp rise in rubber exports this year is noteworthy given that Cambodia’s overall exports were down 1.8 percent for the first seven months in this year, typically because of a decline in the exports of garments, footwear and travel (GFT) goods.
