Despite a fall in manufacturing exports because of low demand from key countries, a number of new factories continued to be established in the first half of 2023. The overall number of factories that were opened this year increased slightly to 1995 factories from 1982 factories by the end of 2022, providing jobs for more than a million people. However, the export of manufactured products shrank significantly, while the total of the country’s exports also dropped by 2.1% in the first half of 2023, according to the report.
