According to the government regulation, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) has declared that employees of 22 garment, footwear, and travel goods factories whose employment contracts were suspended will get a monthly allowance. The factories suspended the employment contract due to the downturn in GFT goods export. Additionally, MLVT made it clear that the financial support will continue during the suspension of their contracts. The amount of the allowance will be paid in KHR which is dependent upon how many days the work contract was suspended.
