Up to 77 percent of Cambodian restaurants who took part in a survey recently stated that their revenue was lower than it was in 2022, illustrating the country’s current economic predicament and a slowdown in the tourism sector. Arnaud Darc, President of the Cambodia Restaurant Association (CRA), announced the survey’s findings earlier this month. Arnaud further claimed that 45 percent of the 175 respondents reported a revenue decline of more than 20% from 22. A decline in occupancy rate, lower average spending tickets, a drop in local consumption, and a slower international tourism recovery are some of the causes.
