Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dith Tina is in discussions with the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology to pump floodwaters from over 2,000ha of rice fields in Takeo province to save the harvest.The government is also concentrating on helping farmers overcome obstacles like market risks, lack of technology, climate change, and capital issues due to a new policy from Prime Minister Hun Manet to strengthen the agriculture sector and maintain price stability.
