Heng Sour, the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, has made 10 recommendations to the National Tripartite Consultative Workshop on "Preparation of a Decent Work Programme for Cambodia 2024-2028". Building trust, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, fortifying labor dispute resolution procedures, augmenting the Social Security Fund, doing away with child labor, educating apprentices, offering vocational technical training to 1.5 million targeted youth, advocating for gender parity, and fortifying the tripartite mechanism are among the recommendations. An estimated, 10 million workers are anticipated to gain from the workshop, which will also support the national plan of the Royal Government.
