Cambodia's Kampong Speu attracts more investors to establish more companies, generating employment prospects for the local populace. Currently, the province is home to about 385 operational manufacturers and businesses that employ over 150,000 people. The province is understaffed; in 2023, there will be a shortfall of about 10,000 workers, and in 2024, more people are expected to be needed as new companies start up. Graduates and students were encouraged to speculate about Kampong Speu, an innovative industrial area in need of competent labor, by provincial governor Vei Samnang. The National Employment Agency and the provincial labor department are working together to promote job opportunities in businesses and industries.
