Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet has announced a $50 million loan package to support tour operators in the northern part of Siem Reap province, which was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. An introductory loan with competitive interest rates will be made accessible by the state-owned Small and Medium Enterprise Bank of Cambodia. The goal of the action is to boost the province's tourism industry, as it is home to the UNESCO-listed Angkor Archeological Park.
