The newly reconstructed officially opened western causeway of Angkor Wat attracts hundreds of tourists every day. Tourists exhibit pride in their Khmer ancestry by appreciating the APSARA National Authority's efforts to repair and restore the causeway. Not only domestic but also international tourists express interest in the causeway's construction and preservation for future generations. The restoration is considered to be an important step in maintaining the labor of the Khmer ancestors.
