The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in Cambodia has emphasized promoting safe migration for migrant workers. In order to support the migrant community, the ministry plans to improve services provided by Cambodian embassies and collaborate with the Center for the Protection of Foreign Workers. Along with strengthening procedures for investigating private employment agencies, the ministry will help migrant workers with documentation, legal defense, and emergency assistance. The ministry is concerned for all Cambodian citizens, regardless of their country of origin. The Ministry of Labour also aims to ensure the effectiveness of the social security system in ASEAN.
