Battambang Museum re-opens to visitors in the New Year

The Battambang Museum will be open to visitors from January next year. The museum, which houses a large collection of Angkorian and pre-Angkorian artifacts, will be free for locals and international tourists under 10 years old, provided they provide their passports or other identifying information. Visitors aged 11 and upwards will be charged $3 for both national and international tourists. The museum, which was partially open during the COVID-19 pandemic, houses approximately 1,500 statues and 700-year-old artifacts. The museum was partially open during the pandemic, and it was partially opened again in 2019. However, the renovations to the museum were funded by the Khmer Cultural Organization FOKCI.
