Cambodia's government spokesman, Pen Bona, has expressed confidence in the country's goal of achieving high-income status by 2050. By 2050, he presumes the economy of the nation will be robust, resilient, and inclusive. In his Pentagonal Strategy, Prime Minister Hun Manet has set attainable goals for the Kingdom, emphasizing social justice and the rule of law while striving for political stability and strength. The development of human capital with particular skill sets is emphasized in the government's plans for human resource development. Notable infrastructure projects that Manet has witnessed the opening. He intends to open a new international airport in 2025 and a port in the province of Kampot in June. The government is also exploring the possibility of developing its northern rail network and negotiating to build an expressway from Phnom Penh to Bavet.
