Agri ministry promotes healthy, sustainable gifts

To support local farmers and provide a sustainable alternative to perishable flowers, Cambodians are adopting the trend of exchanging locally grown vegetables for special occasions. To encourage healthy gifts and food safety, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries arranged an exhibition of processed agricultural goods, organic vegetables, and safe food products. Nineteen farmers' market vendors displayed their processed and organic products, including rose-adorned fruit and vegetable arrange. This kind of fair organization raises awareness of food safety while also opening up new markets for businesses and enterprises. Spokesman for the Ministry Im Rachna emphasized the range of agricultural products on exhibit at the occasion, which was the second time the ministry had assisted in organizing an event of this kind.
