Cambodia's Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training will issue vocational certificates to skilled workers, aiming to help them find better jobs. As suggested by Prime Minister Hun Manet, the ministry will provide certificates after evaluating their technical proficiency. A committee will be established by the Ministry to evaluate the requirements and proficiencies for issuing professional certificates. Given the strong demand for certified auto mechanics, it is anticipated that the decision will encourage employees to advance their knowledge and develop their professionalism. The Ministry should move quickly to expedite skill competency testing, said 32-year-old Thong Eang, an auto mechanic, who expressed excitement at the decision.
