Japan firm’s devices to boost crops

According to the Cambodia Rice Federation's (CRF) president, the federation is in negotiation with Japan's Kett Electric Laboratory company to establish a "calibration center" in Cambodia, which aims to enhance the quality and safety of rice and other commodities while also increasing exports. 3, 434, 070 tons of agricultural products were exported to 57 countries in the first quarter of this year, according to the data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. CRF president, Song Saran, mentioned that he had met the general manager of Kett, Norihiro Yoshida, to discuss a feasibility survey to better define the target market for the project, particularly for the moisture meters that Katt might use to improve the quality of local-grown cassava and cashew nuts, as well as rice and other grains. Saran stated that a team from Kett will collaborate with the CRF secretariat to create a term of reference (ToR) or memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish duties. (May, 2022).
