According to Prime Minister Hun Sen, in 2021, Cambodia generated more than 9.709 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity on its own in 2021, which equal to an increase of 7.86 percent compared to over 8.614 billion kWh in 2020. The largest station of solar power in Cambodia is located in Krakor and is expected to increase the production capacity from 90MW to 240MW, based on the speech of Mr. Keo Rottanak, Director-General of Electricite du Cambodge (EdC). Meanwhile, Ouknha Keo Mom, CEO of Ly Ly Food Industry Co., Ltd. mentioned that electricity has important role in the production lines of small and medium enterprises (SME) and the improvement of electricity supply would help boosting the SME sector (Hom, 2022).
