To offer the latest investment and business opportunities to Japanese people, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to Japan officially established the Cambodia Private Commercial Center in Atsugi city of Kanagawa province. The center serves as a link and a place where Japanese investors, businesspeople, and members of the public can directly contact with potential Cambodian products that are on display, get information about the country's laws and regulations, and ask questions related to investment decisions between Cambodia and Japan, as stated by Tuy Ri, Cambodian Ambassador to Japan. The General Department of Customs and Excise reported that trade between Cambodia and Japan reached $778 million in the period from January to May this year, a rise of 12.3 percent over the same time the previous year.
